Livingston, as one of Scotland’s new towns, is different by design. LUPC seeks to creatively and relevantly connect with individuals, families and communities throughout the town.
As the parish church which serves 8 out of the town’s 10 main residential areas LUPC offers practical and spiritual guidance for key life events, from child blessings and baptisms to marriage and funerals.

LUPC has longstanding links with The Rosebery Centre. The Rosebery Centre provides day care facilities for those with dementia and provides social interaction within a stimulating and safe environment.

The church is home to a branch of the Mother’s Union which as part of its activities gives practical support to those who find themselves unexpectedly having to spend time in St John’s Hospital.

The church has longstanding links with many of Livingston’s community groups. Some, such as Ladywell Neighbourhood Network, involve members of our congregation taking on formal roles in management committees. In addition, members of our church community volunteer with a wide variety of groups such as Rotary, West Lothian Credit Union, Carers of West Lothian and The Bridge Community Project.
Our congregation make regular donations to West Lothian Foodbank and we embrace, where possible, the principles of Fair Trade.
As part of the community hub at Nether Dechmont our church buildings are suitable for a wide range of use by community groups and organisations.
