LUPC places a high value on care for God’s creation and actively seek ways in which we can make a positive difference to our carbon footprint as individuals and as a community.
We gained our Silver Eco-Congregation Award in May 2020 with initiatives which included:
- the creation of an Eco Awareness Stand in the church;
- a Green Guide for Users of the Church and West Barn;
- a major revitalisation of the Community Garden at Carmondean Community Centre;
- an eco-focussed Children’s Holiday Club.

RNIB Stamp Appeal: Please keep saving your postage stamps, leaving a 1cm paper border. Marjory McGhie is happy to receive your saved stamps by post to 55 Barclay Way, EH54 8EZ or to arrange pick up, call 07305 163578. It would also be helpful to separate foreign stamps from British stamps.
Recycling Spectacles and Sunglasses: Please keep hold of your old spectacles and sunglasses for recycling via Vision Aid Overseas. Sue Brown is happy to pick up from your doorstep – tel. 01506 439153.
LUPC is an active member of the West Lothian and Falkirk Eco-Congregation Network. The next meeting is a Bird Chorus Walk at 7am on Saturday 1 May 2021 down at Killandean Community Allotments, Livingston. A warm welcome is guaranteed as well as a bacon roll and a cuppie. (Subject to COVID 19 restrictions)
