Eco-Congregation

LUPC places a high value on care for God’s creation. We gained our Bronze Eco-Congregation Award in 2018 and are constantly identifying ways in which we can make a positive difference to our carbon footprint as individuals and as a community.

As we work towards our Silver Eco-Congregation Award, recent initiatives include:

LUPC supports FairTrade, and a fortnightly FairTrade stall is run on the first and third Sundays of each month in the West Barn from 10-11am. Plants and seeds for growing trees are also coming soon to the stall.

We are also active members of the West Lothian and Falkirk Eco-Congregation Network. The next meeting is a Bird Chorus Walk at 7am on Saturday 2 May 2020 down at Killandean Community Allotments, Livingston. A warm welcome is guaranteed as well as a bacon roll and a cuppie.
