<description><![CDATA[<p>John is a United Reformed Church (URC) minister, serving part time in Livingston United Parish Church. He represents not only the URC, but also the Methodist Church and the Scottish Episcopal Church in their &lsquo;EMU Agreement&rsquo;. In the &lsquo;other 50%&rsquo; of his time he is the Ecumenical Officer for the URC&rsquo;s Synod of Scotland. He is also currently Interim Minister at Granton United Church (URC and Methodist).</p>
<p>John was ordained in 1987 and has served churches in Manchester, Croydon and Bathgate, as well as with the Waldensian Church in Italy from 1992 to 1998. His wife, Mirella, is Italian, and both now have joint Italian and UK citizenship. John has always seen his call as a minister to be that of helping people understand the Bible and he enjoys engaging in discussion about how what we read in its pages. John is also interested in history, and enjoys music, as well as exploring Scotland (when the weather is good!).</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Marc is the Church of Scotland minister serving LUPC. Ordained for 28 years, Marc has served the church in South Africa as a Uniting Presbyterian Church minister and in England as a United Reformed Church minister. He is passionate about the art of preaching and often incorporates themes from music, books, films, and television programs in popular culture to speak in a language that can be understood. Marc is very interested in the ancient Monastic practise of&nbsp;Lectio Divina&nbsp;and enjoys leading small groups in discipleship. Marc is married to Sandi, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren.. Monty the Cavapoo is a recent addition to the family. Marc is a movie aficionado as well as an enthusiastic rugby and cricket fan. Marc is an avid reader.
